Mike Lindell, pro-Trump conspiracy theorists fail to draw crowd at Kentucky rally

Source: Salon

By BOB BRIGHAM

Some of the biggest names pushing pro-Trump conspiracy theories were unable to draw much of a crowd at a "We the People Reunion" rally in Kentucky.

"The event is hosting speakers such as the CEO of MyPillow, Mike Lindell, former national security advisor Michael Flynn and Pastor Greg Locke, who has in the past admitted to being at the Capitol during the January 6 Capitol riot," WFIE 14 News reported.

The station reported on attendance at the event.

"Promoters said they expected crowds of around 10,000 people. Fewer than 300 were at the event when 14 News arrived," the network reported.

People could just stay home and watch much more interesting stuff on television. Why would anyone go out of their way to see this clown. Americans have very short attention spans and there is always something more appealing "over there". Mikey doesn't realize that he was just a temporary diversion, an oddity. His routine got old a long time ago. People don't go to freak shows every week.

So back in 2011, Randy was trying to sue the photographer, as well as a "bunch of Internet people"? I wonder on what grounds. He said he was in the process of suing, but then implied he didn't even have a lawyer. I take it he never successfully sued anyone.

Thanks!

Edit to add: I guess he wasn't so offended by the photo, as it is still his profile pic on his Twitter account, BFIB@BirdsOnBats06.

I knew Greg Locke had gotten divorced but I had no idea he was sleeping with his wife's best friend! I think that's low even by televangelist standards. I had heard that he had gotten divorced because she claimed he was abusive. Which, given his persona on stage, would not come as a shock to me. He comes across as an angry jackass.
Anyway he is not exactly a paragon of Christian virtue, is he? Funny how that doesn't seem to matter to his flock. All that matters is that he hates the same people they do.

I would think, to paraphrase the words of jackass Ted Nugent, they are "dead (of covid) or in jail (after getting caught at 1/6)".

From the local TV station article linked in the OP article -

Hundreds gather for ‘We The People’ rally in Muhlenberg Co.

By Brady Williams
Published: Sep. 11, 2021 at 12:36 AM UTC

(snip)

14 News was allowed in the parking lot to shoot some video, but was later asked to leave the fairgrounds. Any attempts made to speak with local leaders and event organizers have been denied.

14 News did speak with a group of women who fear that such a large event is dangerous during a pandemic.

“People are getting sick and they’re dying,” Powderly resident Rhonda Wood said. “Friends of ours, people we know, and we haven’t been able to stop it. We’ve tried, we’ve pleaded, we’ve sent requests - done whatever we could.”

The event is continuing through the weekend.

live-streaming their wannabe dictator's appearance at a pathetic wannabe boxing event? $49.50, but maybe more than one'd think -- from this crowd?

Apparently Mr. Holyfield was stopped in the first round of a "callous, opportunistic spectacle." Some among the crowd burst into chants when their deposed dictator spoke, though, presumably including when he explained that boxing matches can be stolen just like elections.

football season has arrived. Lindell can't compete with football. Nor can Flynn or any other Trumper.

Trump has always tried to use his brand to transcend entertainment and politics, and, indeed to dissolve the perceptual boundaries between the two. Lindell and Flynn don't have the gravitas to replicate Trump's bombastic con jobs.

Aside from the anger, it gave me a feeling of hopelessness of ever having intelligent people in control again. So I took that time to watch some True TV videos of “Worlds Dumbest Hillbillies“ and binged some of MTV’’s Rob Dyrdek and his “Ridiculousness” videos of stupid people.
We are so fucked. Every single one in those videos vote, without a single law restricting them from doing so. The stupid is much more contagious than Covid, and has evoked to thousand of Variants. The stupid pandemic has infected Congress and Senate. Cawthorn, Marginal Trailer Queen and Bang Bang Barbie can supply these two shows with limitless videos of stupid.
Still beats news though, I have to laugh at the coming end. On a positive note, some of Dyrdek’s videos include stupid from other countries. It’s a world wide pandemic. Not just made in AmurKKKa.
