The singer R. Kelly, who for years dominated the world of R&B music, was found guilty of being the ringleader of a decades-long scheme to recruit women and underage girls for sex.

The jury in the singer’s criminal trial in federal court in Brooklyn convicted him of racketeering after beginning its deliberations Friday afternoon.

The high-profile trial was the first of the Me Too-era where a large majority of the defendant’s accusers were Black women, and the trial was widely seen as a test of the inclusivity of the broader movement to hold powerful men accountable for sexual misconduct.

For Mr. Kelly, the verdict represents the first criminal consequence after decades of murmurs and accusations of sexual abuse and other misbehavior.

18. For me this case saw a turning point

. . . when women protestors, representing various activist organizations, showed up at Sony Headquarters in New York to march in outrage that the company still had the serial rapist/kidnapper on their pay pad. Women who had felonious acts committed against them by Kelly counted for nothing by this corporation. Sony dropped Kelly thereafter. The only music such corporations hear is cash money.

And trump walks free of a whole lot more... is still unindicted. Women love him even though he's been accused of sexual assault by over 23 women, one was a teenager at one point. And that's just sexual assault! Are we dealing with a real, true-to-life demonic presence. R Kelly is sitting in prison and this monster is walking free giving rallies and being treated like a god and craved by the media! They should be sitting in the same cell, cellmates--"my mind telling me no, but yo body, you body, is tellin me yeah!"
