The House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol issued another batch of subpoenas to several former Trump aides and organizers of the rally that preceded the assault.

The panel is seeking sworn testimony and documents from:

Amy Kremer, a conservative activist who helped found the tea party movement and helped organize the Jan.6 rally through a nonprofit she chairs named Women for America First.

Caroline Wren, a Republican operative who helped organize the rally with Women for America First.

Cynthia “Cindy” Lee Chafian, who helped organize the rally with Women for America First..................................................

American patriots and almost all ordinary citizens accept the outcome of elections. They don't ramp up if their side loses. They work against those elected, they protest, they plan for the next election. This was an insurrection without a lot of armaments. Most enlightening to me, and sorry to those who've seen my posts before, is "Ten Days that Shook the World" in book form from the only western journalist on the ground for the November 1917 revolution. The parallels of projection, blaming the opposition, dueling propaganda, proclamations, marches, key players - it was an amazing read. It's an old book, downloadable free online. If we had widespread anarchy or a state of war - as they had tried to caste an unwilling Antifa the previous summer - they might have succeeded.
