GOP-led Michigan Senate Halts Enforcement of Vaccine and Mask Mandates in Schools

The Michigan State Senate passed a series of bills Tuesday that would ban the enforcement of vaccine and mask mandates in that state's schools.

While the GOP-led Senate passed the measures in a partisan 19-15 vote, the bills will very likely be vetoed by Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, a Democrat. Whitmer has previously shot down a number of laws aimed at banning the wearing of masks and vaccine requirements.

Despite Whitmer hesitating to enforce a statewide mandate on masks and vaccines, she has made her position on the matter clear, issuing a statement in August supporting any school's decision to require masks.

In addition to stopping mandates, one of the bills would also ban statewide emergency orders making students wear masks, while also banning mandatory COVID testing for asymptomatic cases.

The Michigan House and Senate are in repub control. Our strong Dem Governor, AG & SOS are what are stopping the RW insanity. We are working hard to make sure they are reelected in November 2022. Without them we would be like Texas & Florida.

an evil plan, and you should really give it another think.

If you voted against protecting children and one dies in your schools of COVID, how do you live with yourself? What decent person could condone the preventable death of a child? (I guess that question answers itself.)

God is watching. When you die, how will you face God's judgment knowing that you caused the death of a child?
