(Republican senatorial candidate Linda) McMahon ("Accidently") misses NAACP event

Source: Republican American

The NAACP's state convention at the CoCo Key Water Resort Saturday was missing one of its guest speakers: Republican senatorial candidate Linda McMahon.

McMahon and the Democratic candidate, U.S. Rep. Christopher J. Murphy, were scheduled to speak during a political forum scheduled for 4 to 5 p.m. More than 200 members of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People from across the state were in attendance.

A spokesman for McMahon's campaign, Todd Abrajano, said she accidentally skipped the event. There is another NAACP event this Friday, and the campaign did not realize the Waterbury event was a separate, second scheduled NAACP appearance.

If Connecticut sends Mrs. McMahon to the Senate, somebody better tell her that there are often second (and third, etc.) scheduled vote not just in the same week, but on the same day. In fact, if somebody tells her that she might just decide she doesn't want any of that Senate "several commitments to remember" stuff.
