Three Republican Residents of The Villages Arrested for Casting Multiple 2020 Votes

Source: Daily Beast

Three Republican residents of the hedonistic Florida retirement haven The Villages have been charged with casting multiple votes in the 2020 presidential election, according to local reports. Click Orlando identified the three as Jay Ketcik, 63, Joan Halstead, 71, and John Rider, 61. Each of them have reportedly been charged with casting more than one ballot in the election—a crime that could land them in prison for as long as five years. Ketcik allegedly voted by mail in Florida while also casting an absentee ballot in Michigan; Halstead is accused of voting in-person in Florida and as an absentee in New York; and Rider allegedly voted in Florida and an unspecified out-of-state location. Ketcik and Halstead reportedly turned themselves in to police, while Rider is said to have been arrested at a Royal Caribbean cruise-ship terminal in Port Canaveral. Click Orlando states that it’s not known who the trio voted for, but all three are reportedly registered as Republicans in Florida, and Facebook pages that seem to belong to Ketcik and Halstead show posts supporting Donald Trump.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Villages way-of-life, many (most?) residents buzz around their so-called community in golf-cart type vehicles.

They probably used said vehicles to perpetrate these crimes, if in no other way than to drive from their house to their curb-side mailbox.

Antifa must be playing the long game disguising themselves as retirees to try to steal Florida.

TFG kept bloviating about voter fraud so much I'm sure his supporters did it on a large scale across lots of red districts in swing states. His vote total seemed way too high. Too bad it wasn't enough for him to win.

and they aren't shrinking violets. But the Repukes there run roughshod over EVERYONE, and get away with it. You're welcome to be a Democrat there if you keep your mouth shut and just pay your dues.

And don't for a second consider committing voter fraud there as a Democrat because they would tar and feather you in the public square and burn your house down. And they would never be prosecuted because they asserted "Stand Your Ground" protection because THEY didn't feel safe! As a Republican committing voter fraud they are heros, get gofundme's, free legal representation, and most likely a seat in the next Congress

You know, Republicans have accused Democrat snowbirds of doing this for decades.

If nothing else, this shows the need for a national voter ID card and universal voter registration.

This kind of basic fraud shouldn't be tolerated. And more, we shouldn't have to depend on law enforcement randomly happening to find a few of the ones who're doing it.

There shouldn't be games (and expense) over who is registered and who isn't: everyone should be registered and at the government's expense rather than at the Democratic Party's expense.

There shouldn't be games over where someone votes: one location per person.

There shouldn't be games over challenging someone's right to vote: showing the voter ID card should give you the right to vote.

There shouldn't be games over how hard it is to get the voter ID card: there should be a gold-plated limo drive up to your home if necessary, scheduled at your convenience, to get you registered and print out your voter ID card.

Voter i.d. and registration laws are a crazy quilt patchwork with each state making its own rules about who's allowed to register and vote and which hoops you have to jump through to earn the privilege (which is supposed to be a right, but it isn't a lot of places). EVERY American should have the SAME rights, but that's just not the case under the present setup. In some states, registering to vote is a walk in the park, while in others you practically have to be an Olympic level gymnast to perform the acrobatics that are required.

What you propose would streamline the whole process and assure the same rights for all.

Have been by the Republicans. There were several in Pennsylvania (including the one where the poll watcher got $25K from the Texas Lt. Governor), and a few in other states. Of course, nothing as massive as what they'd like you to believe is happening...so it never gets any traction in the media.

Chump won Florida by almost 400,000 votes. How did they think their measly 3 (cheated) votes would make any difference? Now they're busted and going to jail.

There was a news story about someone who had a previous conviction who asked at the polling place if they could vote because they were not sure if some of the voting restoration for ex-cons applied. At the direction of the poll worker, the person filled out a provisional ballot that was not counted, and the person was charged with trying to vote illegally.

Methinks deliberate voter fraud merits more time and fewer restoration of rights than, say, small time weed offenders.

I cannot find evidence that she has actually gone to prison for this, been googling like crazy. Okay, I just found this.
she did go to prison for a parole violation but has not served the wrongful sentence yet, it's been on appeal for all these years.

Her case has been on appeal since she was convicted in 2018. It led Mason to spend 10 months in federal prison because her conviction amounted to a violation of her parole agreement with federal authorities.

She is free while her case is on appeal. Her conviction was upheld in lower courts, but has been pending in Texas’ highest criminal appeals court since 2020.

No wonder they believe so easily in voter fraud, because it is something they would do to win. They just assume everyone is as dishonest as they are.
