Bipartisan lawmakers call on Biden to speed up lethal aid to Ukraine
Source: CBS News
Bipartisan lawmakers on the House Armed Services Committee came away from a three-day visit to Ukraine alarmed by Russia's rapid military buildup on the border and urged the Biden administration to "cut the red tape" in order to speed up lethal aid to Kyiv.
Congressmen Ruben Gallego, Michael Waltz and Seth Moulton all military veterans serving on the committee told reporters that proactive measures, including economic sanctions and weapons procurement, were key to deterring Russia from launching a military incursion.
"This is about speed," Moulton, a Massachusetts Democrat, said at a virtual news conference Tuesday. "[Russian President Vladimir] Putin is moving very quickly
It's now up to the administration to respond quickly, and that's exactly what we, as legislators, are pushing them to do."

(732 posts)...and now we're just supposed to jump back into a new war against Russia?
I guess you gotta justify that Pentagon budget increase somehow.
And so we send our latest weapons without sending our boys to use them. Who do you think will own all of our technology five minutes after Russia invades?

Like every dictator, hes having trouble explaining why everything in his country is such a mess after over 20 years in unchallenged power. Enemies are needed, ones big enough to be credible, and that means the United States.
Russia has 810k excess Covid deaths, matching the US death toll, but with only 60% of US population. Russia.

Russia also has a very low vaccination rate of only 42% despite releasing Sputnik V very early in the pandemic. Like Trump, Putin doesn't care if his people drop dead.
