Biden, first lady make Christmas Eve visit to Children's National Hospital
Source: The Hill
President Biden and first lady Jill Biden on Friday made a Christmas Eve visit to the Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C., where the first couple met with and read a story to hospitalized children and their families.
It is an annual tradition for the first lady to visit the hospital for the holidays, but Friday was the first time the sitting president has taken part in the holiday tradition at the hospital, according to the White House.
The Bidens arrived at the hospital just after 11 a.m. EST and visited with children in the hospital atrium who were making lanterns as a winter crafts project.
"You're bringing us some joy," the president told the kids in the room.
