Westchester DA declines to pursue charges against former Gov. Cuomo
Source: ABC News
Westchester District Attorney Mimi Rocah has declined to pursue criminal charges against former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
While her investigators found "credible evidence" the alleged conduct had occurred, Rocah said it fell outside the statute of limitations.
Rocah's investigation, which began after the release of the New York Attorney General's report on Cuomo, examined the accusations made by a state trooper on Cuomo's security detail and by a woman who alleged Cuomo gave her an unwanted kiss during an event at White Plains High School.
Rocah is the second prosecutor in recent weeks, after Nassau County's, to decline to prosecute Cuomo based on the statute of limitations.

(17,988 posts)Do tell! This has gone far enough. Any woman who gets kissed can ruin a mans life 10,20 years later?

A politician should not be criminally prosecuted to a greater extent than anybody else would for the same action.

Who brought the charges against him?

Personally, I'm a lot happier working under Governor Hochul.

(17,988 posts)But Comey came out with a long winded story of how Hillary was careless after he said there was not enough evidence to indict her. She lost the election. Cuomo lost his Governor ship.
You may not like Cuomo but the fact remains 2 brothers had their careers ruined because one supposedly kissed a woman years ago.
How would you feel if one of your family members had that happen to them?

(94,657 posts)No that didnt happen. First, theres a chasm of difference between was careless and engaged in rampant sexual harassment. Second, Cuomo DIDNT kiss a woman. He engaged in multiple instances of unwanted sexual attention with multiple women, none of them plants or setups.
I have a philosophy of broadly believing a womans accusations, rather than jumping to assumptions that, if, the accused is a Democrat, it must be a Republican plot. If youd like to disagree, Ill leave you to take it up with the rest of the community.

I guess cheek kisses are a criminal act.
