Rep. Jim Jordan indicates he won't meet with January 6 committee
Source: CNN
Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio indicated he doesn't plan to cooperate with a request to meet to meet with the House select committee investigating January 6, according to a defiant letter he sent to committee Chair Bennie Thompson on Sunday.
While Jordan -- a top congressional ally of former President Donald Trump -- did not explicitly say he will not cooperate with the committee, his four-page letter outlines his grievances with the panel and its request. The Ohio Republican wrote that he has "no relevant information that would assist the Select Committee in advancing any legitimate legislative purpose."

(21,402 posts)right now before the Supreme Court that claims the select committee is illegal, overstepping its bounds. I believe this is why Garland is holding back the Mark Meadows indictment, he is waiting for the SC decision so as to not seem partisan, then again I could be wrong.
Day 26 of the Meadows referral.

He is a coward, nothing else. You can spot a coward when all he/she does is yell, and jordan is a clear example.
By Vincent Bugliosi standards, jordan, meadows, trump et al are all guilty of murder, they may have not killed the people themselves but they are guilty because they planned it and knew violence could/would bring loss of lives.

Serve him a subpoena on the House floor. If he rips it up, cuff him. US Marshals snd the Sargeant of Arms are not to be defied.

(1,000 posts)so little wonder he does not comprehend the law of this land. So exactly what purpose does he serve in Congress, besides support for someone who understands law as little as he does?

(7,919 posts)Jordan hasn't got a leg to stand on, and he probably knows it. I am sure he has no idea what information the committee has. I am equally sure he doesn't want to find out and so is delaying by whatever means he can. Jordan is not noted for playing by the rules of law or of Congress.
If it were up to me he'd be standing in the dock in chains right now. No options, no polite requests to attend. A direct arrest under warrant by federal marshals. But then again I no longer have patience to apply to this process. I have no doubts about the players, their actions and their motivations. My only reservation at this point is over what sufficient punishments may be applied and by whom.
IMO the entire GOP Senate and Congress is responsible in some degree. They refused to vote for impeachment. They refused to vote to accept the results of the election. Those who did so are guilty of a knowing treason against our nation.
