WASHINGTON—The global economy is poised to slow down in 2022, the World Bank forecast Tuesday, citing the effects of the Omicron variant, supply-chain disruptions, labor shortages and the winding down of government economic support.

The headwinds will slow economic growth to 4.1% in 2022, down from 5.5% last year, which was the strongest postrecession pace in 80 years, according to the World Bank’s semiannual Global Economic Prospects report.

Knot on wood, the part I live in here in California is well stocked and jobs are plentiful. I guess wearing mask and vaccinated helps.

Electronics on the other hand different story. I'm attempting to buy an iPad and literally every single Apple store says they won't get them in until the end of January.

I got most of what I wanted from Aldi, Instacart delivery. I didn't get frozen blueberries, pepperoni or dry northern beans. Their site warned that chicken was low, but I got what I wanted. And the shopper refunded fresh cabbage, but there was a head of cabbage in my groceries when I got it.

It is going to be a crap shoot the next month or so.
