Biden calls Romney auto ad an 'outrageous lie'
By David Shepardson
Detroit News Washington Bureau

Vice President Joe Biden called Mitt Romney's comments on Jeep moving production to China "an outrageous lie" as the war of words has heated up over the auto bailout.

Biden denounced the ad that criticizes the Obama administration's decision to force Chrysler into bankruptcy in 2009 and tie-up with Italian automaker Fiat SpA as "the most scurrilous ad" and "trying to scare the living devil" out of workers.

Biden said the ad is "a lie so deceptive and so patently untrue that Chrysler spoke up."

Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul said the ads are accurate and said GM and Chrysler criticism "don't refute anything in our ad."

Their motto: "If it takes a lie, then that's what we'll do. If it takes a million lies, then that's what we'll do." Some people will believe them, I guess.

Republicans simply make-up the most appalling lies possible...

Then get some republican news-writer/supporter to write the article as fact in which Romney simply quotes the article as fact - then runs with lie in television ads....

This from the same article that was made up in the first place by Romney's advisers and written by one of their own republican people, purposely written to distort, smear & lie as they put the lie as an article in one of their minor republican blogs and/or newspapers.

Romney's staff then gives the media the name of the blog or newspaper the lying article it was written in - and then we find out of course, it's a little republican owned newspaper rag and a republican supporters writing what they are told....All and solely to trash Obama unfairly with complete lies & distortions.

Scruple-less republican tactics!!

This underhanded bullshit is just plain wrong....this reeks of Karl Rove tactics - These lies the republicans make up have absolutely no validity what so ever.

Yet Romney just says he read it "somewhere" while still is going with the lie knowing all along it's not true..... as GM & Chrysler have publicly and loudly stated Romney is telling a lie....

Which doesn't deter the lying flip-flopping say anything to steal the election Romney!

Republicans are saying forget about the majority...we want our narrow right-wing views and agenda forced though, Republicans saying "Screw our Democracy.

Greed & selfishness - Fragrant, blatant lies. - Simply shameless and sadly the sick corrupt arrogant vindictive hateful republicans really don't care.

Chrysler's CEO cpersonally contradicted Rmoney's claims in a letter to the Detroit Free Press:

This should be getting tons of play damnit.

The only care taken was to make sure it scares the be-jesus out of Jeep workers so they might not vote for Obama. Romney's very first ad was Obama quoting McCain that if McCain talked about the economy he would lose but the ad attributed the comment to Obama instead. That set a new standard for untruthfulness in political advertising that was breached many times by Romney culminating with his Jeep ad that has the added issue of being cruel to the core. Romney is a bigger skunk that Richard Nixon, by far. He is more despicable than Rush Limbaugh. Like Joseph McCarthy, Romney has no shame.
