Plus all he offered was excuses as to why he allowed the situation to get as far as it did. The optics were horrid. The so called truckers had set up hot tubs, saunas, large tents in front of the Canadian parliament buildings, imagine on Jan 6th people sitting in hot tubs while officers waved to them. The members of the Ottawa Police Service took an oath to protect & serve the citizens who pay them. That would be the taxpayers of Ottawa. Bottom line, lots of words, no action, fall on your sword, plus due to the federal emergency act, the Feds, RCMP are taking over from here on in.

The resignation of Ottawa's police chief has changed the tune of meeting of the Ottawa Police Services Board meeting Tuesday, and the federal government says the RCMP and Ontario Provincial Police will now lead the police response to the ongoing protest in the downtown core.

Peter Sloly has resigned as chief and will publicly announce he is stepping down after the meeting Tuesday, according to sources that have spoken to CBC News.

The public part of that meeting starts at 3 p.m. ET. It has already been delayed three times today.

Sloly's resignation comes amid allegations of bullying and volatile behaviour, sources tell CBC News, which has reportedly damaged relations with senior leadership, and has compromised the force's ability to cope with the truck occupation.

White cops will more often then not, open fire on a person of color without a second thought!

But, when it comes to firing on someone who looks like them a neighbor, they are looking into a mirror... and they hesitate!

Apparently policing will be taken over by the RCMP (Federal). We'll see what happens...
