Florida says healthy kids shouldn't get COVID vaccine, contradicting CDC

Source: Tampa Bay Times

State Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo announced the recommendation Monday during a panel convened by the governor.

TALLAHASSEE — The Florida Department of Health is poised to officially recommend against giving coronavirus vaccines to healthy children.

Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo made the pronouncement at a Monday roundtable discussion on coronavirus mitigations policies convened by Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Ladapo, who leads Florida’s Department of Health, said his department’s recommendation would be the first of its kind in the country.

It came after a 90-minute discussion from medical experts skeptical of the benefits of various coronavirus mitigation measures such as vaccine mandates, mask requirements and business closures.

All the more reason to get vaccinated on order to stay healthy. Duh!

What does that Shingles commercial says about those who run 5 miles a day, work out, and live healthy lifestyles? SHINGLES DOESN'T CARE!!

COVID doesn't care either! The vaccinated will survive this.

Since they know more than the CDC. Joseph Ladapo is a quack who should lose his medical license.

with no Rubles backing the repubs. Granted DeSatan will do whatever he can to screw us all but he wouldn’t be spending so much time in the panhandle, Panama City in particular, if he felt sure of the outcome. The still burning wildfires there are due to the state not releasing money to clear all the trees Michael knocked down. It’s been over 3 years and everyone knew we were one lightening strike away from this.

You're healthy until you get sick.

Vaccines are preventative in use.

Does he have the same recommendations for other vaccines for school children?

Due to it being eradicated - probably still living somewhere in a bio lab because the military still uses smallpox vaccines in specific cases.

Simply do the opposite of what their “Surgeon” General recommends. I swear, if Ladapo said smoking cigars was bad for you I’d be stocking up on stogies immediately.
