Judge rules against Trump lawyer John Eastman in dispute with Jan. 6 investigators M

Source: Los Angeles Times (via MSN)

A federal judge on Wednesday handed an incremental victory to the congressional panel investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection in a case involving California attorney John Eastman.

Eastman, who advised former President Trump on efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, has been fighting to prevent the committee from seeing more than 100 emails involving him.

The judge ruled against Eastman for now, saying the court would review the documents to determine which can be turned over to the panel.

Eastman has emerged as a central figure in the committee's investigation into Trump's efforts to subvert the election results.

Guess since it was the committee that asked for the ruling, they wouldn’t hand them over to DOJ. Wish they would go to the DOJ though. Why is he so afraid to turn the emails over to the committee? Sarcasm thingy

I don't know the answer to this question. We all pretty much know that Eastman wrote a blueprint to overturn the election, there are copies of the document. My question;

If DOJ were investigating Eastman wouldn't the select committee touch base with them first before getting involved in an ongoing investigation? The select committee is doing a fantastic job, but at the end of the day all it can do is show the American people on TV all of the crimes that could have been prosecuted.

Adam Schiff keeps saying that DOJ better not be waiting for criminal referrals.

In camera review so the court would see that what they have proves there is no attorney-client privilege between Eastman and Trump.
