Justice Clarence Thomas hospitalized 'after experiencing flu-like symptoms'

Source: CNN

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas was admitted to Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC, on Friday evening "after experiencing flu-like symptoms," the court's public information office said Sunday evening.

"He underwent tests, was diagnosed with an infection, and is being treated with intravenous antibiotics," the court's press release said. "His symptoms are abating, he is resting comfortably, and he expects to be released from the hospital in a day or two. Justice Thomas will participate in the consideration and discussion of any cases for which he is not present on the basis of the briefs, transcripts, and audio of the oral arguments."

I've never seen any evidence that (In)Justice Clarence "Uncle Slappy" Thomas (R-No Questions Allowed) has one. I mean, he goes years without asking questions in oral arguments, and he always voted the way Scalia told him to vote. I think that he was Scalia's ventriloquist puppet and is now Alito's.

If he is not vaxxed (which I doubt) it could be serious. Hell it could be serious anyway. But it would be especially good to see a RWer fall to covid when he wasn’t vaxxed

in active men though unless they are wearing / using a cath on a regular basis. They did say flu like symptoms so I would assume some sort of respiratory tract infection / pneumonia.

Sudden kidney failure and sepsis led me from one ICU to another with little to remember in the 1st half of the year. Then the months of rehab where they had rebuild my strength and teach me to walk again. I'd say it's the last thing you want to hear, but you'll be the last to know.

Now it's just dialysis 3 times a week for the rest of my life.

It went right past me. What are flu like symptoms? Nausea, maybe vomiting, diarrhea, fever, exhaustion.

By the time you get to IV anabiotics, there’s also a risk that the dosage gives you vertigo on top of everything else and it often doesn’t pass.

What else would give someone those kind of symptoms other than covid?

suggest a virus but antibiotics don't work on viruses.

So it must be bacterial - with flu like symptoms? Or maybe a secondary bacterial infection following a viral one.

Couldn't covid do that? Secondary bacterial pneumonia?
