U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert touts funding wins she voted against
Source: Durango Herald
A newsletter distributed by U.S. Rep. Lauren Boeberts office this week touts nine Boebert wins for Colorado, but all nine items were included in a bill that the representative voted against earlier this month.
Boebert celebrated investments worth about $2.3 billion and measures such as preventing the use of federal money to pay for abortions, but several of the identified sums are distributed to localities on an annual basis or benefit national programs and initiatives...
The $1.4 trillion omnibus spending bill containing the nine Boebert wins was signed into law by President Joe Biden on March 15. Boebert voted against it six days earlier. The spokesperson said that the omnibus bill, which wraps budget measures together with policy changes, contained more bad than good for Republicans, so Boebert voted against it.

(2,263 posts)Howler monkeys don't go around deliberately being ignorant and stupid, nor trying to force their ignorance on others. Nor do they advocate destroying the only world they live in by burning fossil fuels until the end of time because, $$ (and because a spouse works for the fossil fuel industry like hers does).

(2,263 posts)He got called out for it in his little media stunt, too. It was funny to watch him squirm and try to say that he voted for this while he didn't vote for the Infrastructure package, he did vote for this particular project.
Even if that project was a separate vote (and I doubt it was), it would have been a vote within the overall package, and thus his "Nay" would have cancelled out his vote to include the project. He's a hypocritical, lying, little fuck of a Nazi.

(5,711 posts)Grand Junction, CO calls this useless woman out on it. For weeks now, she has been running propaganda at the top of page one of the paper. At first, there was no mention that this was paid advertising, and it looked like "late-breaking front page news." Lately it has carried a disclaimer that it is funded by her and her campaign. I also saw a giant billboard touting how wonderful she is. Where is she getting all this money? It costs a bundle just to run a classified ad or an obit these days.

(348 posts)He posted to his FB (well one of his flunkies did) about how great it is he helped pass funding for high speed internet to rural areas. Every response was asking how he can claim credit when he voted against it.
So glad I moved to Hawaii and away from his district.
