Okla. lawmakers approve bill to make performing an abortion illegal

Source: Washington Post

The Oklahoma House on Tuesday voted overwhelmingly for a Republican bill that would make performing an abortion illegal and punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

The vote was 70 to 14 after lawmakers added it to the agenda Monday night, catching some by surprise. There was little discussion or debate.

The bill, which passed the Senate last year, would make performing an abortion a felony. Anyone convicted would face up to 10 years in prison and a $100,000 fine. The measure heads to Gov. Kevin Stitt (R), who has signaled his openness to signing antiabortion legislation into law.

The law makes an exception if the life of the mother is in danger.

The Germans outlawed the Nazi party. The Republicans are not much less of a criminal organization. They just haven't killed as many people.

Yet.

Roe V Wade is pretty much gone in the next few months.

This is a race for the absolute backwash of the far right states to reap the benefit of Illegal President Donald Rapist, who likely paid for many abortions personally.

Any man in Oklahoma who gets a woman pregnant needs to be fined $100,000 and imprisoned for ten years. The very act of doing so makes her a potential candidate for an abortion, and in Oklahoma they obviously want to criminalize that.

So, Okie guys, you can take 'em out to dinner, but hands (and the rest) off unless you want to spend the next ten years behind bars. The only exception I would make is that if the man is a member of the Oklahoma State Legislature, both the fine and the prison sentence are doubled, because he should have known better.

Next on the docket in Oklahoma--the State is about to outlaw hormones. Anyone growing them gets an automatic 15 years in prison.

in general.

The GOP is living in their own world so much that they can't see how our population is actually becoming more liberal and far less religious.

I see all of their recent actions back-firing tremendously in the next few years.
