TSA will not enforce Covid mask mandate on planes, public transit after court ruling

Source: CNBC

The Transportation Security Administration will not enforce the mask mandate on public transportation after the court’s ruling, a Biden administration official said. However, the CDC continues to recommend that people wear masks on public transit, the official said.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki, in a press conference Monday, said the administration is reviewing the court’s ruling and the Justice Department will determine whether it will appeal. The Justice Department declined to comment when asked by CNBC.

Mask up anyway. You will never know if someone next to you is sick on a plane.

If anyone gives you a hard time about it, my comment is "Excuse me. I do not recall asking you for your opinion about this. "

Be nice, but stand your ground as you keep your cool.

so I'm still masking regardless of any court rulings. With my dark skin and bald head maybe TSA will think I'm black and let me use my pre-check without an extra thorough hand pat down for being brown.

my mask. I have to go into quarantine when I get to my destination anyway but I do not want to get sick.

I actually have not been sick with a cold or flu since before Covid. It is nice not having to deal with that crap. And it is all because of masks!

I have a decent collection of masks now so I think I'll keep using them for travel in the future long after COVID.

I agree more. For me I’m gonna continue to wear masks when flying, grocery stores, pharmacies where people show up with all kinds of bugs and every other darn thing so I’m keepin’ on keepin’ on. Let the other heroes go out there heave in and buckin and coughing and wheezing showing how tough they are.

attacking our borders. Because with all of the mixed messages sent from every Tom, Dick and Harry who thinks they are experts, and all of those mixed messages diluting the power and will of the POTUS, we'd be overrun. And because of the minority of bullies and asses, we are overrun.

I decided at the onset of Covid-19, that I would follow sensible guidelines: Masking, social-distancing, and isolation. I will continue to do what I think protects my loved ones and me against an insidious and heedless enemy, namely, the wrong wing bullies and asses. My choices also protect against invisible invaders.
