Clear majority of Americans would welcome 100,000 refugees from Ukraine, poll finds

More than three of four Americans favor accepting Ukrainian refugees to the United States, a new Gallup poll shows.

It's the highest level of support – by far – Gallup has recorded among Americans for any refugee group since the start of World War II more than 80 years ago, the independent polling firm found.

Of those surveyed, 78% agreed that they would accept 100,000 people from Ukraine.

The support is bipartisan with 92% of Democrats, 61% of Republicans, and 79% of independents in favor of taking them in as they flee their war-ravaged country.

8. I think most will just want to go home

even if "home" is now a pile of rubble. They want to rebuild their lives in their own country, even if it means living under a blue tarp in winter. It's home and home is very hard for a lot of people to leave completely.

One must always remember that polls are run until they get the results that they want to put out. So here's the survey and what I notices was that 749 were "white" while 248 were "Non-white" at least that's how the poll labled them. 19. The level of hypocrisy in America (and Europe) is at an all-time high.

We had refugees at our Southern border in 2020, and America turned her back on them. Because they were brown.

Now we have refugees who are being absorbed into Europe by the millions (the same Europe who didn't want Syrian refugees - brown) and have lots of options, and the US says "c'mon in!"

White people will do things for white people that they will NEVER do for people of color.
