The U.S. Capitol Police said they arrested a man near the Capitol with high capacity magazines
Source: Politico
What he had: The man, identified as Jerome Felipe from Flint, Mich., had a fake badge, BB gun, body armor, high capacity magazines and other ammunition. Police caught up with him parked in a 2017 Dodge Challenger on the west side of the complex.
Their interaction: According to police, Felipe gave the officers a badge that read "Department of the INTERPOL." (Obviously, no such agency exists.) They said no real guns were found.
The agency posted pics of what they found:

(17,989 posts)Like rifles don't make very good clubs, magazines don't make very good throwing objects. Just carry rocks. Legal everywhere. Me thinks there's a whole lot more to this story.

(6,938 posts)Someone used him to make security reveal how they respond to threats? That is useful information for those planning a diversion.

(6,265 posts)this is a distinct possibility. The RW scum intent on turning America into a fascist state is not done yet with doing that very thing that they tried to do on 1/6/21.

(5,586 posts)Unless he actually represented himself as an officer. The badge looks more like a kids toy replica.
And that's an awful liberal interpretation of 'body armor' in that picture. The stack of papers in the bag would offer a LOT more armor protection than the two vests.
Nice car though.

First time when I was considering buying a Charger myself, haha.
