China lashes out at US, British intelligence services

BEIJING (AP) The United States is the biggest threat to world peace, stability and development, China said Thursday, continuing its sharp rhetoric in response to U.S. accusations of Chinese spying and threats to the international order.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijians comments came a day after the head of the FBI and the leader of Britains domestic intelligence agency raised fresh alarms about the Chinese government, warning business leaders that Beijing is determined to steal their technology for competitive gain.
The heightened tone comes ahead of a meeting Saturday between U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi at the Group of 20 leading rich and developing nations ministers summit in Bali, Indonesia.
The relevant U.S. politician has been playing up the so-called China threat to smear and attack China, Zhao told reporters at a daily briefing when asked about FBI Director Christopher Wrays comments reaffirming longstanding concerns in denouncing economic espionage and hacking operations by China as well as the Chinese governments efforts to stifle dissent abroad.

(302 posts)U.S. company's have outsourced their manufacturing to China for the past 40years. They have been handing them the blueprints to numerous products they want built. China is just being a good partner...we give them the instructions and they follow them. If you don't want China getting your technology then don't send it to them and don't cry foul when they actually adopt it. Without China manufacturing our goods and shipping bulk materials we don't store here our store shelves would be empty and Amazon would go out of business.
