Sen. Lindsey Graham ordered to testify in front of special grand jury in Trump election probe

Source: WSBTV - Atlanta

ATLANTA — A Fulton County judge has ordered U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham to testify in front of a special grand jury looking into possible election tampering by former President Donald Trump in the November 2020 election.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney ruled Monday that Graham will be required to testify on Aug. 2 after Graham said he would fight a subpoena to testify, citing executive privilege.

Graham is being asked to testify, in part because of two phone calls he made in November 2020 to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. In those calls, Graham asked Raffensperger to reexamine “certain absentee ballots cast in Georgia to explore the possibility of a more favorable outcome for former President Donald Trump.”

... in Fulton County, Georgia. That was a felony end of story. You can't call up somebody and ask them to rob
a bank even if they don't rob the bank. Especially if you give the name and the location of the bank and Lindsey's
(White Water Blow Job Hunter) claim that what he did was OK because he was a US Senatot was specious.

BTW Lindsey was a JAG officer in the USAF he knew what he was doing was illegal.

We have to root these un-American shits from the government including Chuck Grassely.

What "executive privilege" does he have?

He's neither Kemp's nor Raffensperger's counsel, nor an aide, nor any staff employee, and as far as we no, was not on the GA state payroll, let alone not even a resident of nor voter in GA.

* The mail in ballots come with a bar code that matches to the voter's registration.

* how the fuck did he know about problems in voting in Georgia?

Lindsey will either have to turn on Trump or go to jail.

These continued attacks on our fair and free election system are beyond meritless, beyond reckless -- they are a scheme by the President of the United States and some in the Republican party to disregard the will of the people-- and name their own victors.

Texas has moved to sue GA, MI, WI, and PA *in the US Supreme Court*. It's asking SCOTUS to let legislatures decide who won — an extraordinarily extreme ask rooted in baseless voter fraud conspiracies that numerous judges have repeatedly rejected https://texasattorneygeneral.gov/sites/default/files/images/admin/2020/Press/SCOTUSFiling.pdf?utm_content=&utm_medium=email&utm_name=&utm_source=govdelivery&utm_term=

These attempts are uniquely unserious -- nothing has worked in court, in the legislature, and now @TXAG is seeking to just throw out the electoral votes all together in four fellow states.

These factless, baseless "lawsuits" to stir confusion and doubt in our systems are un-American and we should not allow this circus to continue.

Of course that sort of "interference" was thrown out by the SCOTUS and Graham, who is purportedly a lawyer, needs to brush up.

kept us sane when we were literally undergoing an avalanche of lawsuits - both at the state and federal level - back in November 2020 - January 2021 (and the loons were still trying illegal/crazy "audits" in 2021).

ETA - Shapiro is running for governor and Fetterman for Senator so you can see why they are popular!

I thought he claimed that he called Georgia as part of his Senatorial duties because he’s on the Judiciary Committee.

Now he’s citing executive privilege, which would cover private communications between himself and the president.

So which is it? Was he calling on his own accord as a Senator, or on behalf of the president?

(I mean I think we all already know the answer, it’s just weird that he’s attempting to claim both things.)

Biden has the final call whether it is covered by privilege.

He can still plead the fifth, but that isn't likely going to convince the jury not to indict.

not a federal one, so nothing to do with Biden-appointed judges.

All of the GA judges are elected (where the governor will appoint temporarily if there is a vacancy). The special grand jury was empaneled by the Fulton County GA District Attorney.

that's the way the political wind was blowing.

He simply complies with whatever is the popular mode so he'll keep his job.
There's no consideration of views or consequences, he just agrees with whoever is in power.

So if he thinks it's in his interest to throw Trump under the bus he will.
If it's not he won't. Has nothing to do with what's right or wrong.
