Four House Republicans vote against bill on international religious freedom

Source: The Hill

Four House Republicans voted against a bill on Monday that seeks to reauthorize appropriations for the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom.

The legislation, titled the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom Reauthorization Act, passed in a 402-4 vote. Twenty-six lawmakers did not vote.

Reps. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas), Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Chip Roy (R-Texas) voted against the measure.

...snip...

A spokesperson for Massie told The Hill that the congressman voted against the bill “because he doesn’t want the government involved in religion; he would prefer the government leave religion alone.”

And turn loose the assessors. The Catholic crime family, I meant church, is first in line.

I was born and raised Catholic, was an altar boy, and to say the least, I have been incredibly disappointed in the Church of Rome.

And maasie I want the church to leave the govt alone, but that ain’t happening so join me in doing the right thing.

They vote against bills to aid Ukraine and sanctions against russian oligarchs. Shows which side they have chosen- fascism. Why don't they just pick up and move there?

... is argue abortions are against God's law. So it's only when the argument favors them that they'll be for anything despite what they've opposed in the past. It's all to throw wrenches in the government.
