Walker admonished for using prop after Warnock accused him of lying

Source: Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Herschel Walker was admonished by the debate’s moderator for using a prop after U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock accused him of spreading lies that he served in law enforcement.

Walker pointed to what appeared to be a badge shortly after Warnock said he had a “problem with the truth.”

“Just because he said something doesn’t mean it’s true,” Warnock said. “One thing that I haven’t done is I haven’t pretended to be a police officer and I’ve never, ever threatened a shootout with police.”

...snip...

A moderator told Walker to put away the badge because it violated debate rules.

Walker has never had a job in law enforcement. He has publicized a card showing that he was at some point after 2004 named an “honorary agent” and “special deputy sheriff” in Cobb County, Georgia, titles that do not confer arrest authority.

They shouldn't give badges to children like Walker and Trump. They're not able to separate fantasy from reality.

At best, it's an honorary badge given to him by some police department for donating to their benevolent fund. At worst, it's a Junior G-Man badge from a box of Fruit Loops.

That must be the badge they give you for being president. Herschel wants that one too. What the hell, if Donald Trump can be president anyone could be president, even Herschel. He's got the lying part down pat, and he speaks gibberish like a Pro. He's definitely GOP presidential material. 🙄

Thank goodness the audience was on Warnock's side, which salves some of the embarrassment factor that Walker ever even got on the ballot.

I mean my sense is that everyone gleefully participated in lowering expectations for Herschel Walker down through the floor, and then when he didn't shit himself or solicit a moderator, he won by exceeding those extremely low expectations. But I'm cynical.

I mean let's face it: Walker got all the way through the debate. I mean, he didn't pay the moderator to terminate it early or anything.

She REALLY called him out good too, and she did not take any crap from him, even when he was enough of an ass to argue back AND talk over her. She was brilliant!
