Elon Musk says 'I have too much work on my plate'

Source: Reuters

Billionaire Elon Musk said on Monday he was working "at the absolute most amount...from morning til night, seven days a week" when asked about his recent acquisition of Twitter and his leadership of automaker Tesla Inc (TSLA.O).

"I have too much work on my plate that is for sure," Musk said by videolink to a business conference on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Bali.

Musk is chief executive of both companies and also runs rocket firm SpaceX, brain-chip startup Neuralink and tunneling firm the Boring Company. Wearing a batik shirt sent by the organizers, he appeared on screen lit by candles, explaining that he was speaking from a place that had just lost power.

Tesla investors worry that Musk, a self-confessed "nanomanager" who has been personally involved in working-level decisions from car styling to supply chain issues, is distracted at a critical time for the world’s largest electric vehicle maker.

Experienced this much of my working life. If someone, 50 years ago had sat me down and taught me that there are humans and there are narcs, I might have done much better for myself in life.

Nobody asked him to buy a social media platform and lay off/fire his employees. I can't stand this a-hole and now we get to hear his every complaint whenever we are online.

When you keep fucking up and taking it out on the people you are supposed to delegate to, work tends to keep piling up, doesn't it?

Years ago my company went through a series of bad CEOs, and the really shitty ones had two things in common: (1) they squatted in place doing nothing until they were paid even more to leave, and (2) they sent forth ass-kissers to spread the lie that they were working sixteen hours a day, seven days a week.

By the third time I heard that crap about a separate person, I was asking (1) what were they accomplishing to show for all that "hard work," and (2) who in their right mind would want to put up with such conditions?

You should have dedicated all your time and your company to simply putting out the best, and most affordable, electric vehicles, batteries, etc...

But because of some butt hurt from a tweet, or banning of an abusive individual that you liked, you made an emotional knee jerk offer that was too good for Twitter to reject.......just because you could.
