AZ, PA counties delay certifying election results
Source: CNN
Officials in a rural Arizona county Monday delayed the certification of Novembers midterm elections, missing the legal deadline and leading the Arizona secretary of states office to sue over the countys failure to sign off on the results.
By a 2-1 vote Monday morning, the Republican majority on the Cochise County Board of Supervisors pushed back certification until Friday, citing concerns about voting machines. Because Monday was the deadline for all 15 Arizona counties to certify their results, Cochises action could put at risk the votes of some 47,000 county residents and could inject chaos into the election if those votes go uncounted

In Pennsylvania, where counties also faced a Monday deadline to certify their general election balloting, local officials have faced an onslaught of petitions demanding recounts. And officials in Luzerne County, in northeastern Pennsylvania, deadlocked Monday on whether to certify the results, according to multiple media reports. Election officials there did not respond to inquiries from CNN on Monday afternoon.
In a statement to CNN, officials with the Pennsylvania Department of State said they have reached out to Luzerne officials to inquire about the boards decision and their intended next steps.

(7,218 posts)OK. If you delete ALL the countys ballots in a Republican county, then Katie Hobbs wins by an even larger margin.
They had two years to fix any voting machine problems and did squat. Scratch em all!

(2,190 posts)I have to chuckle thinking about this giving McCarthy one more headache.
Also, failure to get Cochise County ballots included in the state canvas would overturn the election of a really vile man as State Superintendent of Schools. That's another squeaker race that will go to DEM candidate if Cochise County Stupidvisors persist in their coddling of Q voters fighting reality.
There is NOTHING wrong with the machines. It's the crazy people who don't accept they are a minority that is the problem.

If votes from this Republican stronghold somehow went uncounted, it could flip two races to Democrats: the contest for state superintendent and a congressional race in which Republican Juan Ciscomani already has been projected as the winner by CNN and other outlets.
Go ahead an dick around and give Democrats that Congressional seat then.

(12,412 posts)They have a job to do. Any problems are on them. Either they fix their system or their votes are not counted, fuck em.

(2,190 posts)The official report on the 2020 election showed the county as completely accurate. There are always hand counted audits of samples from some precincts and those matched the machine counts again this year.
This whole kerfuffle is simply for attention, pandering to the delusional magas, and who knows what else. But it is NOT about any problems with the system.
The problem is the people who won't accept they are not the majority and the voters of AZ don't like their Q-candidates.
