Texas man wrongly identified by FBI as Cleveland shooting suspect is now in hiding over safety fears
Source: MSN
A man who shares a similar name to the suspect in a deadly shooting in Cleveland, Texas, is now hiding in fear for his safety after the FBI wrongly identified him in a social media post.
While FBI Houston was releasing information related to the killing, they mistakenly released Mr Oropezas commercial drivers licence photo and name to the public
Mr Oropeza, the man wrongly identified, is not the shooter. Instead, he is a husband and father to three children who recently started a new job in Fort Worth, according to his sister-in-law who spoke with Fox 4.
FBI Houston later took down the photo and tweeted, An incorrect image of Francisco Oropeza with a blue backdrop was mistakenly disseminated earlier today. That image has since been removed from FBI social media accounts. Please do not use that photo.

(3,012 posts)Even though Abbot has nothing to do with this, "Abbot is up to no good" is a factual statement.

(12,544 posts)but what proof is there that Abbot is involved in this screw up by the FBI?
That's what's being alluded to by the post I replied to.

(12,544 posts)Do you have any proof that Abbot was involved in this FBI screw up?
Not defending Abbot, but you're making accusations without posting any proof of said involvement.

Wow, amazing incompetence. People 's lives on the line and they couldn't check their spelling until after they endangered an innocent man. These people run the FBI in Texas??????

(2,681 posts)A few months back, I posted on DU about the excerpt in the FBI report regarding its examination of the firearm involved in Alec Baldwin 's case. The report stated that, when the hammer was in the one-quarter-cocked position, or in the half-cocked position, the only way it could be fired was with pressure applied to the trigger. I think the report should have made it clear that, due to oxidation of the weapon's components as well as the loosening of the oxidation which occurred during the testing of the firearm, it was not possible to determine if the weapon's hammer was even capable of catching at the one-quarter and one-half cocked positions when Alec Baldwin handled it. Of course, most of fault in the filing of the specious charge against Alec Baldwin lay with the incompetent prosecutor who did not possess the critical thinking skills to delve into the finding contained in the FBI report.
