................
..............Greene spoke to War Room host Steve Bannon after Rep. James Comer (R-KY) revealed on Fox News that at least one informant had been lost.
"Now, the truth that I can tell everyone this morning is we have not lost the submarine," Greene said. "That whistleblower is very safe. But he does fear for his life, and rightfully so."
While Greene claimed she was in contact with one whistleblower, up to nine other witnesses were missing or unavailable.
"That whistleblower came through for us, thankfully, through the help of Senator Grassley," she explained. "But other whistleblowers, yes, they are missing. They're either in court, they're in jail, or we cannot talk with them at this time because they can't be found."
"And our investigation is so important, Steve, that this will bring down the president of the United States," she added.............................

(10,191 posts)Evidently Republican voters today, like those who sent Greene back to the House, prefer their representatives to be irrational liars who do nothing but enhance their own public image with their asinine claims.

"Grassley admitted to Newsmaxs Greta Van Susteren that he has no evidence to back his claim, Newsweek reports.
" 'It is a very serious allegation. I wish I could say that I knew it was true or untrue,' the 89-year-old lawmaker told Van Susteren."

The organized crime links the right wing used to make that happen and crown Trump president for life are just part of their bones. I dont know how much a spine replacement costs for wannabe oligarchs but if they dont invest then the government of the people will have to operate.

They have NEVER cited any known documents, or events, or significant interactions between real individuals. They have asserted and repeated headline grabbling rumors with no substantive basis of any kind.
...And NONE of it will be said under oath in court because perjury has genuine consequences.

(101,426 posts)Comer's accusation, before the dog ate his homework, was that Hunter Biden and other Bidens received money from someone or a company in Romania (a NATO ally and EU member, it should be remembered - this is no different to Trump, who was the actual president, owning golf courses in Scotland and Ireland), and from someone in China - not a friendly country, but not a sanctioned one either (Trumps have had business dealings there too).
Comer admitted that Joe Biden's name didn't occur. And he never claimed that there was a specific action that Joe Biden supported that was involved in these financial exchanges. So, no obvious law breaking, just vague "well there must have been influence" implications (which, for example, is the exact defence for the conservative Supreme Court payments - "there was never a specific quid pro quo" ).
But now they have to admit they don't have a reliable informant, even for that.
But Taylor Greene doesn't just pretend that there's still a case for vague "Joe Biden knew his son did business in China, so he would have favoured them" accusations (favoured them as VP? Since when did a VP get to control foreign policy decisions, apart from, perhaps, Cheney?); she's doubled down, claiming there's a specific payment to President Joe Biden in the accusations, for a specific deed, saying the whistleblower" "fears for their lives" and calling the Bidens "the most evil, corrupt people that have ever existed in American history". With all due respect to the USA, that's a pretty high bar she's set.

(17,757 posts)from witnesses that can't be either identified or produced, to convict, in a case, where there is no evidence that a crime has been committed, to return a guilty verdict against an innocent man. It is a proposition that claims that the lack of evidence is, in fact, solid evidence that a crime has been committed. We have people in our congress that would put Roland Freisler to shame...
That this kind of nonsense gathers serious response from adults in our Congress is evidence of just how far, and how fast we have fallen. I am beginning to wonder if our nation has not already crossed the event horizon and that only possible path forward is a collapsing spiral to nothingness.
