Christie Says He Disagrees With Romney’s ‘Gifts’ Comment: Time To ‘Move On’
Source: TPM
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Friday he doesn't agree with Mitt Romney's recent statement claiming President Obama won re-election because he gave voters "gifts."
On MSNBC's Morning Joe, Christie said most Republicans believe it's time to "pivot" and "move on" after the election.
"The bottom line is we lost. Now what we need to do, as leaders of our party, is pivot and get back to our jobs."

(36,437 posts)It's a big club, the Romney Haters Club.
Christie has enough of a working class background to know the disdain that the Romneys feel for people like him. I think he saw a side of Romney that terrified him.

but the revised headline is
Christie Says He Disagrees With Romneys Gifts Comment: Cant Be Divisive Leader
and the story now includes this paragraph:
"You can't expect to be a leader of all the people and be divisive," Christie said on MSNBC's Morning Joe. "You have to talk about themes, policies that unite people and play to their aspirations and their goals and their hopes for their family and their neighbors. And I always think this is scapegoating after elections. When you lose, you lost. Someone asked me, why did Mitt Romney lose? That's why."
And there is now video at the link, too.
