Multiple witnesses subpoenaed in Florida in Trump Mar-a-Lago case

Involvement of top prosecutor Jay Bratt in the Florida grand jury could suggest questions about Espionage Act violations.

Federal prosecutors have subpoenaed multiple witnesses to testify before a previously unknown grand jury in Florida in the criminal investigation into Donald Trump’s handling of national security materials and obstruction of justice, according to people familiar with the matter.

The previously unreported involvement of Bratt could suggest the questioning may focus on potential Espionage Act violations, particularly whether Trump showed off national security documents to people at his Mar-a-Lago resort – a recent focus of the investigation.

Bratt, who was seen arriving in Miami on Tuesday by the Guardian, has previously appeared for grand jury proceedings in the espionage side of the investigation, as opposed to the obstruction side, which has typically been led by Smith’s other prosecutors or national security trial attorneys.

We are getting beyond ketchup on the walls. It’s more like projectile diarrhea from extreme gut stress. Sucks for Eric and Jr. Those two and Lindsay are the ones that will be cleaning it up. Hope they are singing “Can’t always get what you want” while cleaning. Jagger May approve the use in that context.

that I feel there may be some info that has been coming in from friendly foreign intel sources. That info obviously could point to witnesses that should be called to testify about their involvement. One of the aspects of bringing in witnesses to testify is to ascertain facts but it can also be to see who comes in and lies during testimony. That way you line up the obstruction charges and you can then use that as leverage for further testimony. If they refuse to cooperate then you add them to the indictments.

Maybe somebody here might know if the penalties for obstruction involving investigations for violations of the Espionage Act are more severe than say for lesser criminal/civil cases.

In all seriousness it's no laughing matter that a former occupant of the White House sold top secret documents to Saudi Arabia. But I'll most definitely take great pleasure in seeing him in prison for his actions.

MAGA Inc. Founder Brought To Grand Jury For Testimony In Trump Criminal Probe

Taylor Budowich, an associate to former President Donald Trump who has been identified as a founder of the political action committee Make America Great Again Inc., was appearing before a grand jury in Florida on Wednesday as part of ongoing federal criminal investigations around the former president.

Budowich, who has also served as a spokesperson for the former president, was reported to be appearing in the context of the criminal probe into the handling of classified documents from Donald’s time in office. The involvement of a Florida jury in hearing evidence in that probe, which is led by Special Counsel Jack Smith, was only reported recently.
.................

The PAC in which Budowich is involved, which is a super PAC, spent big during the 2022 midterm elections in a number of high-stakes Senate races in which Trump’s preferred candidates lost. That list includes contests in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Nevada, where their spending reached millions of dollars per state. The organization did spend on the Ohio Senate race as well, though, and in that contest, Trump-aligned Republican J.D. Vance was victorious. In a piece of the data that feels telling about their overall strategies, Make America Great Again Inc. spent far more in each of these races that was listed as in opposition to the Democratic candidates than supporting the Republicans. The organization appears to have Trump’s support, though it’s not an official arm of his campaign, with strict rules in place that generally block close cooperation between these secondary organizations and candidates’ central campaign committees.

We all know that he tries to moneytize everything. Why would classified docs be any different? It wasn't just showing docs to impress people with his importance. It was also about reaping some advantage or outright selling them.

I think Smith is trying to nail down some evidence of Trump's motive beyond his vanity to show people how important he is. Trump needs to be made an example of how serious the gov is about classified documents. A nice looonnng prison sentence. Remember Hanson the FBI agent, who sold secrets. He got life, and just recently died in prison.

Time to lower the boom on Trump.
