4 dead, 1 in critical condition after Illinois stabbings; suspect in custody

An adult male allegedly stabbed multiple victims in the Rockford, Illinois area on Wednesday, leaving four people dead, one in critical condition and four others in stable condition, authorities said in a press conference Wednesday.

A postal worker is among the four individuals who died, Rockford Police confirmed. Details about the other victims have not been released.

Rockford police said the suspect is in custody. There is no known motive at this time.

The fact is these people died horribly, what actually DOES need work is finding those who are mentally ill, or sociopaths, or just plain criminals and get them help or have them in a secure facility.

Mental wards, jails and hospitals CAN be run efficiently and humanely.
But the funding has to be there.

Not umpty-billion $$$ for the latest toys for the Pentagon and their corrupt acquisition system.

in Rockford in two days. The other one, unrelated, was probably a hate crime. A black kid who was working at a Rockford Walmart was stabbed while he was doing his job. The murderer walked around the store, behaving strangely and giving dirty looks to all the black employees. He settled on the eighteen-year-old employee, called him a racially hateful name, and stabbed him to death.

Don't try to write this off to mental illness. It was pure racism.
