"No survivors" found at crash site of helicopter carrying Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi, Iranian agencies report

Source: CNN

"No survivors" were found at the crash site of the helicopter carrying Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi, Iranian state news agency IRINN and semi-official news agency Mehr News reported.

Some background: A former hardline judiciary chief, Raisi was Iran’s eighth president. The former prosecutor and judge was elected in 2021 following a historically uncompetitive presidential contest.

He oversaw a period of intensified repression of dissent, according to human rights monitors.

Next in the line of succession would be First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber, if approved by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Think your words carefully.

If you have no compassion, why expect compassion in return?

Moniker "thoughtpolice" I think.

When I die and come back I'm thinking about signing up as Moral High Ground unless someone else claims it.

So far I don't think anyone has claimed Jesus.

There might be a few variations on Mom here already.

But Wagging Finger in the Face could still be available.

Think ... words carefully, indeed.

Hating, gay murdering country who just today, arrested over 100 people for promoting Satanism and nudity...fucking nudity! Some non citizens as well.

Save your preaching about compassion for these monster for someone else.

I'm a pagan.

They would have tortured and murdered me in a second for my beliefs.

They want to destroy a good chunk of the world and will do whatever it takes.

but he took a lot o other people with him: the crew, the Foreign Minister and a provincial; governor from Azerbaijan. I'll reserve my compassion for them and their families. It looks like it was over in an instant.

I'll Let Ayatollah Khameini mourn Raisi. I'm sure the funeral tomorrow will have a cast of many thousands.

I feel only a sad weariness when a man dies evil. It's what I felt for Nixon, and Reagan, and Limbaugh, and Atwater. Just a sad weariness that some will never learn.

* nor will celebrating the death of those individuals have negative consequences. No terrorist state will change their policies (one way or the other) due to any individual message (or collection of messages, or a full consensus on an Internet forum) -- nor will it matter if an entire country (or even the world) rejoices over the death.

>> If you have no compassion, why expect compassion in return?
The actions of rogue-state leaders and terrorist-supporting governments has nothing to do with "compassion". They will still execute homosexuals and support terrorism. They don't care what people on Twitter or DU have to say.

But then again, knowing Iran, specifically the Ayatollah and the IRGC, they will blame the West for assassination and then it get really bad for the people there, especially women.

I don't wish for anybody to die a horrible death-which these folks must have experienced.

JUST IN: Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi is confirmed dead after rescuers reached the crash site.

Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian is also dead.

The discovery came after a long night of searching in freezing conditions.

Shortly before the discovery, Iranian Red Crescent Society head Pir-Hossein Kolivand said the situation was “not good.”

According to Reuters, the helicopter was completely burned in the crash.

The helicopter, a Bell 206B Jet Ranger...departed in dense fog at 1:00 am CDT. Brown piloted the helicopter off the golf course, at a higher speed and slightly lower altitude than the other (helicopters) It banked sharply to the left, and crashed into the side of a 300-foot (90 m) ski slope, about 0.6 miles (1 km) from takeoff. All on board were killed instantly;
