Military guys have to be clean shaven, I think. Wearing a beard is slapping the military authority in the face or showing disrespect.

Like court rules that forbid men wearing hats in the court room or a no jeans rule. I think forcibly shaving him is fine. It's just a beard. And those are the military rules. HE chose to join the military.

I'm all for defending people's religious rights, but this asshole wasn't so adamant about wearing that beard when he shot and killed thirteen people in the name of that religion he wants defended.

Can't have it both ways.

.... he will then have a basis of appeal in that he can say the court was prejudiced against him since he had a beard in the court.

Me that is to easy to kill him. I want him to get life without any change of seeing the light of day. I want him to remember everyday what he did. No tvs or sport activities and make sure you cut the beard off. Feed him pork and all kinds of meats that he isn't suppose to eat. Yep that is what I would do. Slow torture for sure. He will be begging for death.
