A report from Republican Representative Jim Jordan has revealed transcripts of a former acting CIA Director saying he was "deeply concerned" by former President Donald Trump. Late last month, Jordan, who serves as the chairman of the Republican-led House Judiciary Committee, released a report relating to President Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, with the lawmaker saying that "the highest levels of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), up to and including then-CIA Director Gina Haspel, were made aware of the 'Public Statement on the Hunter Biden Emails' by 51 former intelligence officials prior to its approval and publication."
The report includes a transcript of an interview the committee had with former CIA deputy director Michael Morell, who also served as acting director during former President Barack Obama's administration, including portions where he spoke about Trump.
"I'm a pretty conservative guy when it comes to national security. But I have to tell you that, you know, spending 33 years at CIA and watching literally hundreds of world leaders during that time, President Trump's personality traits deeply concerned me, what I believed to be deep narcissism, what I believed to be deep paranoia, what I believe to be a type of sadism where younot sexually, of course, but a type of sadism where you, you know, are happy when your opponents have been injured in some wayI'm talking politicallythat those were all traits that I saw in foreign leaders who did significant damage to their country and significant damage to the democracies of their country," Morell said, according to the released transcripts.
"And, you know, my fear, in my view, was borne out by his failure to act on January 6, 2021. So, that's what I meant when I wrote that. That's what I was thinking," Morell added in the April 2023 testimony.

It showed the opposite of what he wanted to lie about.
Traitorous, lying POS just like his Gawd.

(12,389 posts)In their sordid attempts to get Hunter Biden, they just threw their boss under the bus. I would love nothing more than to see all the transcripts that they have not released, I am sure there is much more in them.

(17,155 posts)1/6 Committee. If we're not going to see any more trials for Trump before the election, we at least need to hear the testimony of those who spoke before the committee. They have a lot of information that the voters need to hear in order to make an informed decision.

(113,252 posts)I know Jordan is going to be hissing and spitting over it. He must have thought the CIA guy was talking about Biden when he was VP or maybe about Obama, couldn't possibly be his Lard and Savior.

(11,835 posts)That's me. I'd go even farther; I'd leave off the "I'm talking politically" to be honest about it, when talking about most Repukes who are greedy, vicious, and mean-spirited sociopaths at the very least.

(3,769 posts)For anyone to think that he "failed to act" as it is expected that an honest president of the USA would act is naive, he acted according to his self interests, he wanted to stop the count, the guy is a criminal, period.
I like what he said on the 1st paragraph that was posted here, but it drives me crazy that people have no balls to say things the way they are, the way they really happened. He did this, there was no failure to act, it was intentional, as I said, the SOB is a criminal and a traitor.
