Nadler urges Republicans to investigate X's restrictions on Kamala Harris' campaign account, citing censorship concern
Source: NBC News
Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., is pushing for the House Judiciary Committee to investigate whether Elon Musks X improperly prevented users from following an official presidential campaign account for Vice President Kamala Harris on Sunday.
Nadler, the ranking Democrat on the committee, sent a letter to chairman Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, on Monday morning saying that numerous users were blocked from following the @KamalaHQ account after President Joe Biden stepped down and endorsed Harris for president. The letter was exclusively obtained by NBC News.
Regardless of political ideology, Americans have a protected interest in receiving Vice President Harris communications regarding her candidacy, Nadler wrote. Vice President Harris, in turn, has a right to communicate with the American people as she runs for the highest office in the country.

Apparently, some people (way too many people) still trust it as a source of news.

(2,937 posts)the post mostly lost me when the letter went to Gym Jordan. It's a letter asking for fairness. I imagine Jordan threw it out.

(4,188 posts)inaccurate. Every story that comes out about this loony man-baby is worse than the last one. Born to money, thinks money makes him smart. Clearly not.

(4,085 posts)But, as we mention all too often here, it's not the govenment that's restricting her right on Xitter. It's (probably) a management edict (of a private company). Who, just as DU can limit speech to that supporting the Presidential nominee, so can they limit their postings.
I agree Xitter has a lot more idiot eyeballs that might learn something by being exposed to a principled campaign, but, for the most part, we know they are lost causes, so not much to worry about.
