Obama Approval Rating Reaches Three-Year High In Poll

Source: huffpo

A month after the election, President Barack Obama's approval ratings are at a level he hasn't seen for years, with contentious negotiations over the upcoming "fiscal cliff" so far not dampening his support.

Obama has an approval rating of 53 percent among registered voters, according to a poll released Thursday by Quinnipiac University -- the strongest approval level the university has measured since the summer of 2009.

Obama's disapproval rating of 40 percent makes the president's net approval rating the best in over a year.

"Nothing like winning an election to boost your job approval," said Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute. "President Barack Obama hasn't had a score this good since his 52-40 percent approval rating May 5, 2011, right after the death of Osama bin Laden."

Came from the fact that he wasn't kicking Republican butt hard enough.

Those who thought the ratings resulted entirely from righties and far-righties never quite understood that many of us were voting in 2008 for a left-of-center progressive and were disappointed to end up with an (admittedly honest and thoughtful) moderate Republican.

These days Obama looks more like a Democrat.

Our recent campaign season provided that very contrast.

Finally at least some of the Democratic worldview is getting publicized; if people who get their current events and world view from M$M never have a chance to see SANITY, the insane worldview starts to seem normal.

The repuke propaganda has been accepted and regurgitated for so long and on so many different fronts...that is what propaganda is for. And it works.

Thank GAWD the election season offered some sound bites that even the mouthpieces couldn't cover up. Some of it even infiltrated the barbed wire and tinfoil around that poo-factory known as Fux Spews!

that was always the problem with the polls.

of course wingnuts hate the negro president but the left disapprove of bending over playing harlot for the right. you do right on the left youll always be sky high. this country is more progressive than the pundits try to tell us.

Had Bush got Bin Laden by 2008, he'd have had likely 70% approval. More proof they only care about themselves.
