White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has been promoted to senior adviser to the president, ABC News has learned.

Jean-Pierre made history in 2022 when she was tapped to become the press secretary, becoming the first Black woman and the first openly gay person to take on the role.

to Kamala Harris when that weird dude went up on stage and grabbed Kamala's microphone. Tiny, yet tough as nails. Love her.

It's good for kids to see someone is a position of power, someone who's well respected... and to be able be inspired by, and to think to themselves "Hey! There's someone just-like-me!" and "They're not afraid or ashamed to embrace their authentic self!"

I watch her often on youtube.com and she does a great job. I wonder if she will write a book about her experiences in the White House? Jody Powell did that after the Carter Administration. It was a good read 40 years ago when I was a teenager and learning about the US Government and political science.
