The Atlantic endorses Harris: 'She believes in democracy'

The Atlantic is endorsing Vice President Harris for president. The magazine announced its decision in an editorial Thursday in which the outlet’s editors wrote Harris “doesn’t curry favor with dictators. She won’t abuse the power of the highest office in order to keep it. She believes in democracy.”
“This year, Trump is even more vicious and erratic than in the past, and the ideas of his closest advisers are more extreme,” the outlet continued, calling Harris a devoted public servant who “respects the law and the Constitution. She believes in the freedom, equality, and dignity of all Americans.”
The Atlantic’s endorsement comes just days after the vice president got the backing of The New York Times, which similarly wrote that Trump “has proved himself morally unfit for an office that asks its occupant to put the good of the nation above self-interest.”
Most major news outlets endorsed Hillary Clinton and President Biden against Trump during his prior campaigns for the White House.
