East Windsor gun store raided after man caught stealing rifle (Where 1 CT massacre gun was bought)

Source: WFSB

EAST WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) - A gun store in East Windsor where at least one of the weapons used in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was sold was raided Thursday night.

Adam Lanza had two pistols and the AR-15 when he entered Sandy Hook Elementary School Friday morning, and in just a matter of minutes, he fired multiple rounds, killing 20 children and six adults. Before the school shooting, he shot his mother four times.

Riverview Gun Sales is the same store where police believe a different man stole an assault weapon and was trying to carry out a similar attack.

In a video obtained by Eyewitness News, Jordan Marsh, 26, of South Windsor, can be seen stealing an AR-15 with a scope just four days earlier.

And they are probably right...

EDIT - STRIKE THAT...

Appears he was caught stealing a long gun - and that led them to the AR15.

The story linked here is a bit more clear - but others are calling it a "50 cal AR-15"

3. Alexander Arms .50 Beowulf Entry Kit

Give your Colt AR-15 the power and performance of a .50-caliber cartridge without sacrificing its easy-handling, semiautomatic characteristics. Alexander Arms' Entry Kit comes complete with all the components required to permit your AR-15 to shoot the .50 Beowulf, creating a rifle ideal for everything from big-game hunting to target shooting to home defense and other tactical uses. Initial tests have shown this round to be extremely accurate, consistently producing groups measuring smaller than 1" at 100 yards. Recoil is also very manageable, much like shooting a 20-gauge shotgun. Kit comes complete with flat-top receiver with Picatinny rail, mid-length hand guard, 16" barrel with Picatinny front-sight block and seven-round magazine. Lower receiver not included.
Available: .50 Beowulf Entry Kit, Extra Seven-Round Magazine

6. It wasn't a .50 Beowulf mod for an AR-15

They claim it was a long gun he got caught stealing. I'm not sure what it was, but given the weight they claim in the video(fifty pounds&$5000), it was probably a .50 BMG rifle. If that's what it was, the news report actually vastly under reported it's power. It's a fucking monster of a gun that no civilian needs to have access to.

It's the behemoth on the left.

That alone is an argument for gun control.

11. They are expensive, specialty arms used for long-range target shooting competitions.

The starting price for these weapons is about $5000. Ammunition is about $4 a shot.

I don't think a crime has ever been committed with one.

You'd be more likely for someone to commit a crime with a replica Civil War cannon. They cost about the same.

14. They are sniper rifles designed for long range human killing

they are not for hunting anything but humans.

No civilian should have a .50 cal weapon of any kind.

Thanks to the NRA, Al Queda operatives can buy them legally in the US.

It was like a cannon going off, even with my plugs in, and the spent casings kept flying over the partition, burning hot. I finally stepped back until the yahoo and his friend were finished. Oddly, they were two preppyish guys in their 50's.

dealers, and ammo makers hundreds of millions of dollars, and then those that are unstable within that group are up to no good and it seems like we're not only getting one story a day, but more like 3 or 4. Guns corrupt the mind imo. No human needs a semi-automatic assault rifle.

The proprietor was on the phone to the cops reporting the theft of weights.

He says, "No, no, no,...that's five ten pound weights, six 20 pound weights and eight 50 pound weights,...yeah,.....big guy...."

How could any proprietorship not notice tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars in inventory?

That number of missing guns should have been noticeable on the accounting side of the business if nowhere else.

Maybe they found a way to get a better margin

The 33 from 2007 of course, not the one caught on tape, obviously.

East Windsor is all the way past Hartford near Enfield. She really was into her guns I suppose.
