NEW YORK, NY (June 13, 2025)— Writers Guild of America East (WGAE) members at Vox Media reached a tentative agreement with management on a new three-year collective bargaining agreement.

The 250-member Vox Media Union and the WGAE Council’s Online Media sector representatives will vote to ratify the contract in the coming days. Full details of the agreement will be released upon ratification.

The Vox Media Union had voted to authorize a strike if a deal was not reached by the time their current contract expired at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, on June 12, 2025. As a deal has now been reached, there will not be any pickets outside Vox Media’s office in New York.

On behalf of all of the WGAE members at Vox Media, thank you.
This month, over 2,700 union supporters sent letters to Vox Media's CEO and Board urging them to agree to a fair contract for WGAE members.
Yesterday, 90% of Vox Media Union members voted to authorize a strike.
Today, we're proud to announce that we've reached a tentative agreement for a new contract.

This fight was a powerful reminder of our strength when we stand together: Vox Media management wasn’t willing to come to the table and bargain for a fair contract — not until Vox Media Union members showed they were willing to strike for one, and thousands supporters showed they were ready to stand with us.

Your letters, social posts, and pledges to join us on the picket lines if it came to a strike helped fuel our members' commitment to fighting for what they deserve. We couldn't have done it without you.

We'll announce the details of what we won in this new agreement after ratification.

Until then, and as always:

Solidarity Forever.
