US supreme court clears way for deportation of migrants to South Sudan

The supreme court on Thursday cleared the way for the deportation of several immigrants who were put on a flight in May bound for South Sudan, a war-ravaged country where they have no ties.
The decision comes after the courts conservative majority found that immigration officials can quickly deport people to third countries. The majority halted an order that had allowed immigrants to challenge any removals to countries outside their homeland where they could be in danger.
The courts latest order makes clear that the South Sudan flight detoured weeks ago can now complete the trip. It reverses findings from federal Judge Brian Murphy in Massachusetts, who said his order on those migrants still stands even after the high court lifted his broader decision.
The majority wrote that their decision on 23 June completely halted Murphys ruling and also rendered his decision on the South Sudan flight unenforceable. The court did not fully detail its legal reasoning on the underlying case, as is common on its emergency docket. Two liberal justices, Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson, dissented, saying the ruling gives the government special treatment. Other litigants must follow the rules, but the administration has the supreme court on speed dial, Sotomayor wrote.

(this was the case where a judge insisted that a previous SCOTUS order didn't apply, SCOTUS said "not so fast" )

I will not hide his name for this post. He deserves any backlash that can possibly occur. Im not sure if he realizes that he is not among the favored races in an America. If someone called ICE on him, I bet the fact that hes a US citizen would be irrelevant and he could be taken to South Sudan himself .especially since hes left wing on one issue - he decries the crimes against humanity committed in Gaza. Hes not religious, but he still feels a cultural connection to side with the Palestinians. Pretty typical for a right wing thug to take the lefts side when they are personally affected.

(and this was despite the fact that during the 4 years of Biden, the GOP "judge shopped" by sending their cases into 5th Circuit districts in order to GET a "nationwide injunction" against Biden Executive actions - and in some cases, had to withdraw and refile their case because they had no jurisdiction, and had to find someone to be a co-plaintiff who lived in that district who was "harmed" ).
