A Nebraska concert series that was scheduled to begin Saturday has been canceled after one of the musicians set to perform says he was detained at the Detroit airport while trying to enter the country from the Czech Republic.
The concert series was set to feature Jára kuta, a Czech clarinet player.
The performances, hosted by the Czech Culture and Education Foundation of Nebraska, were planned in Wilber, Omaha, Lincoln and Fremont.
The first show was scheduled for Saturday in Wilber, which is known for its Czech-American population and was once named the "Czech capital of the United States" by President Ronald Reagan.
