Athens to investigate former minister (for editing list of Swiss bank acct holders)

Greece’s governing coalition is to begin an inquiry into allegations that former finance minister George Papaconstantinou tampered with a list provided by the French government of wealthy Greeks with Swiss bank accounts.

Mr Papaconstantinou is accused of removing the names of three members of his family from a computer disk containing details of some 2,000 accounts, many of which were held by Greek businesspeople and professionals suspected of moving funds abroad to avoid paying taxes.
