DHS agents retreat as Chicago cops refuse to shield them from swarming protesters

Source: msn/Raw story

Department of Homeland Security agents were seen abandoning one attempt to arrest a man in Chicago over the weekend after being outnumbered by protesters. In at least one case, the Chicago Police Department was ordered not to assist federal agents swarmed by demonstrators, according to reports.

In videos circulated on Instagram, two masked agents could be seen trying to take a man into custody in the middle of a busy street.

Drivers shouted at the federal agents and blew their horns as onlookers gathered. The struggle went on for several minutes before the agents released the man and fled in an unmarked vehicle.

Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin reported that Chicago officers were instructed not to respond to the U.S. Border Patrol's calls for help in another incident where a vehicle was rammed and a person was shot.

Fuck 'em.

Also if the name "Fox News" is attached to any reportage, I tend to presume it's bullshit until shown otherwise. Cops refusing to help if someone was shot sounds suss

Only two of them, no badges to warn the public to stand clear, lots of attention paid to keeping their masks on, no backup or attempts to call for it, and no documentation to legitimize their attempted abduction?

IF those were full time federal employees, they didn’t act like they were making any serious attempt at proving it as justification for their actions. The way they went about their “work” looked more to me like some private mercenaries looking to cash in on some unnamed sum promised them for every “suspicious” brownskin they can dump off at their pre-arranged location.

I think the reason they decided to flee was that the increasingly numerous crowd was reaching a size where they might feel emboldened enough to overpower the two thugs, unmask them, find no paper justification for their action, and call the cops to arrest them for assault and attempted kidnapping. I’m pretty sure they have strict instructions to never reveal who they are, who sent them, what their instructions were, and, especially, from whom they received them.

many of these so-called "federal agents" are actually contracted personnel and are not vetted, trained, equipped, and sworn Federal agents.

Did you let them run around, claiming to be acting on your behalf without one shred of written evidence to back that claim up? If not, then it's a similar situation. I would have thought that someone acting on behalf of a Federal LE agency would have had some kind of identifying document, in case they got into a sticky situation that would have required their arrest if caught doing their thing if they couldn't say for whom they were doing it, and back it up with some kind of evidence.

These guys are going around doing their thing and expecting people to accept their federal authority just because they say so, and without any way of backing that claim up in case of some kind official challenge. If local law enforcement confronts them, weapons drawn, they have nothing to back up their claim that they are acting on some kind of federal authority. If I were a local uniformed cop and saw a bunch of thugs acting like they did, and they couldn't back up their words with one shred of paper, I'd be telling them to cease and desist and drop all weapons on the ground within three seconds, or else I'd shoot first and ask questions later.
