Crockett: MTG couldn't 'take the heat' from Trump

Source: Politico

Rep. Jasmine Crockett on Sunday appeared to show little sympathy for her colleague Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene after the Georgia Republican announced her upcoming resignation from Congress.

In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union,” the Texas Democrat, long a foe of President Donald Trump, said Greene’s decision came after she was on “the opposite side of the president” for only one week.

“You’re on the other side of the president for one week, and you can’t take the heat?” Crockett said. “Imagine what it is to sit in my shoes, to not only be on the opposite side of him, but to have people like her who are constantly fanning the flames of hate and imagine what those threats look like when you literally are someone like me.”

Greene announced Friday she would resign from Congress early in 2026 following a fallout between herself and Trump.

Greene, once a loyal ally of Trump, had become a sharp critic of both the president and her own party over disagreements on the Epstein files, health care and the government shutdown. Greene alleged she had begun to face threats after Trump called her “a traitor.”

even to someone who has been such an enabler of Trump. MTG fed the beast and the beast destroyed her. But we should extend a hand to her and the other MAGAs who may be seeing the error of their ways.

We need everyone to be clear-eyed about what we are facing as a nation. And some of these MAGA people may ultimately be part of our salvation. I am not ready to trust MTG, but we can still extend a hand to help her out of that cult if that is what she chooses.

But she's not going to disappear. She's setting herself up to run for president. Play the victim now, the "church" backs her once she starts her charm offensive on them, and she's got the magas, once again, eating out of her hand come time to campaign. She's already got herself a good jump on the money angle. And she's stayed just long enough to get that pension and free life-long healthcare. She's clever... evil, but clever. And, like trump, she only looks out for herself. What's in it for her... the question is will enough of the magas fall for it once again? I say they will. They're programmed to fall for it. And if the programming falters, P2025 is there with the final push of the theocratic portion of the project to get push them back into line. Wonder what they'll do this time when their precious second coming doesn't happen -- once again. Reality check? Nah... not them.

I’m fairly unequivocal on that point. I also believe she’s kicking back, biding her time, and plans to attempt picking up enough pieces of MAGAtry to make another run at becoming their queen.

So many politicians and podcasters have been having their life threatened esp Republicans threatening Republicans over Epstein and Gaza. Some Republicans on X believe her kids might have been threatened.

After Charlie Kirk’s death, Congresspeople now can get up to
$10,000 a month to hire security guards. This is not often enough and some take money out of their reelection campaigns. Also $ 20,000 to secure their house or apartment.

MTG - “I am not suicidal and one of the happiest healthiest people you will meet. I have full faith in God and Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. As a sinner, I am only saved through His grace and mercy. With that said, if something happens to me, I ask you all to find out which foreign government or powerful people would take heinous actions to stop the information from coming out. “

Anna Kasperian, Tucker, Candace, Massie, Kim Iverson, MTG, Megan Kelly all keep saying they are not suicidal and are getting many death threats.

Two Republicans- Josh Hammer and Mark Levin said other Republicans needed to be “neutralized” and “taken care of” which many called death threats. This Republican Civil war is getting nasty and dangerous.

... should know by now that Trump calls anyone who disagrees with him a "traitor", and anyone with two X chromosomes is in for double the abuse. He demands unquestioning loyalty to HIMSELF (which he NEVER returns), not to the Constitution, which he considers an annoying hindrance to his malign designs. You KNOW he's scheming to stuff it in the shredder as soon as he can declare martial law. And if he isn't stopped, you KNOW he will find an excuse to do exactly that. Talk about projection, he's the goddamned traitor!
And the fucker calls veterans traitors as he shits all over the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Why won't he just die? I SO want to piss on his grave! But so do a hundred million other people.

leaving a fat old man with dementia and a personality disorder that rendered him about as ujpleasant a creature as you can find. That's what she couldn't take, her Jebus turning into a man, a bad man who insults any woman who isn't his type, and thet's skinnier and a lot younger than Marge..

One hopes she's got advisers she l;iestens to who will get her to dump the Shitcoin and NVIDIA stock some time before the crash happens, otherwise I don't know what she's going to do. Being in office and making that bug an arse of herself cost her marriage and probably a lot of her family and she's aged out of the Zumba business.

So be a little charitable, she was entertaining while it lasted and as I predicted, it hasn't lasted long since she turned 50. That age is the great leveler, especially for women who rely on their looks.

If we trash her, we’ll just be repeating what we’ve all said and heard hundreds of times over about her. I’d temporarily lay off and give her a chance to give us some serious ammunition to use for next year’s campaign. It’ll cost us nothing, and she’ll be looking for some headlines. It’s not like we’ll have forgotten anything in case she decides to run against Jon Ossoff under the GHNC Party.

And what's with the before and after photos from her dentist? Aren't they protected by the doctor/patient privilege?
