At the end of the 13th day of a labor dispute making national news as the longest ski patrol strike in history, the Telluride Professional Ski Patrol Association (TPSPA) voted to ratify a contract with Telluride Ski Resort (Telski) to end the strike and return to work.

"We're proud of where we have ended up," TPSPA President Graham Hoffman told The Times in an exclusive interview. "It's a compromise. Not everyone gets what they want.

Unions make us strong, especially when an employer can't legally operate without trained and certified workers.
13 days is a short time. Starbux workers and their union won elections and the company still won't engage in real contract talks.
