Progressive media company MeidasTouch Network announced it was cutting ties with Michael Cohen on Saturday, hours after he claimed prosecutors pressured him to mold his testimony to bolster a political witch hunt against President Donald Trump.
Programming note: MeidasTouch Network will no longer by producing or carrying the shows Political Beatdown or Mea Culpa with Michael Cohen, the left-leaning outlet posted on X.
MeidasTouch has turned into one of the bigger anti-MAGA media companies around. It has 5.84 million subscribers on YouTube and its main podcast is routinely ranked among the top 50 shows on Spotifys charts.
Cohen co-hosted his Political Beatdown show with MeidasTouch co-founder Ben Meiselas. The pair just posted their latest Beatdown episode on January 15, where they reacted to Trumps psychotic morning rant on Truth Social where he threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act against the people of Minnesota, according to the shows description. That show pulled in a few hundred thousand viewers on YouTube for each episode.

(54,641 posts)all day. I even Googled, "When and where did Michael Cohen say, "So what?". I remember it clearly since it pissed me off so much. His whole attitude was displayed in those 2 words and it still pisses me off.
Keith Edwards did a podcast today about this. He proudly said he never trusted Cohen as well as a ton of other GOP liars who switch sides every other minute.

I do not make this decision lightly. I was once charged with a 1001 violation. I know exactly what perjury means. I know where it leads. And after speaking openly about the trauma of prison and the PTSD that followed me home, I am doing this anyway; to put an end to lies that refuse to die.
Some have claimed that my Friday post was motivated by a desire for a pardon. Let me be honest. Of course I would welcome the erasure of a felony conviction. Who wouldnt? But the request I have before the White House is far larger than me. Alongside my longtime friend Jesse Jackson Jr., with whom I co-authored a proposed executive order, I am seeking the emancipation of the stigma and lifelong burden of federal felony convictions for those who have completed their non-violent sentences. This would impact 70 million Americans; seventy, including one of the loudest individuals now attacking me.

With what could they have possibly pressured him? Send him back to prison? Charge him with something ass-pulled?
This reeks of something

(43,340 posts)And he has to feel there is a target on his back with tsf going after enemies the way he's doing now. I'm not going to condemn him for being who he is. It's a scary time.
Altho speaking out at all has probably made him more of a target.

(7,248 posts)Would he do it? I think it depends upon how great is his dislike of, and contempt for Americans and how quickly his dementia progresses.
As for Michael Cohen, he remains enmeshed with Trump and will ultimately do what he deems best for Michael Cohen-even if it means giving Trump an advantage over our country and democracy.
I think Meidas dropping him is both justified and wise.

(2,684 posts)Seems like the odds are extraordinarily high that he helped Krasnov cover up pedophilia crimes and realized that that wasn't a good look since exposing Krasnov on these issues would be a two edged sharp pointy thing that pointed back at him. Now that these questions are being asked, he probably wants to figure out how to survive this and is wondering how to communicate to Krasnov that if it gets bad and Krasnov doesn't help, things could go very south very fast.
