Man shot during Minneapolis immigration crackdown has died, hospital record shows

Source: AP

A 51-year-old man who was shot Saturday by federal immigration officers in Minneapolis has died, a hospital record obtained by The Associated Press shows.

The person was shot amid the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said. The details surrounding the shooting weren’t immediately clear.

Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin told the AP in a text messages that the person had a firearm with two magazines and that the situation was “evolving.”

The shooting happened amid widespread daily protests in the Twin Cities since the Jan. 7 shooting of 37-year-old Renee Good, who was killed when an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer fired into her vehicle. Saturday’s shooting unfolded just over a mile away from where Good was shot.

They tried to cover it up immediately and the Minneapolis police chief refused. Witnesses have been taken to police headquarters and all available off duty police have been called to work. ICE cannot be trusted to tell the truth. Congress must act now. The Courts must stop the stupid foot dragging. Enough is enough.

"be had a firearm" but there was like eight of them, repeatedly punching and kicking him and then they shot him like he was nothing.

Even if he had a gun if they had spent less time punching him and more time actually securing him, it wouldn't have been an issue.

Police spent less time abusing their authority and just doing their jobs, a lot more people would be alive.
Police steal, rape and murder more than any criminal they have ever arrested.

But the NY Post “reports” that “[t]he shooting happened after the man brandished a firearm with two magazines, a law enforcement source told The Post, sharing a photo of the firearm.” It posts a photo of the gun allegedly belonging to the “suspect.” I smell bullshit.

That evidence so you can bet the fired a dozen rounds into the dirt from that gun.
How many crimes have they again done, run and hide with the gun, try to confiscate video from a woman, blast lies all over media, from all the trump SS, and make damn sure the murderer once again left the crime scene.
Let’s all Pray, that’ll work.
And Trump’s rant about Minn leaders stealing money from Americans is the most sickening bull shit ever spewed from his chin anus. His neck Jina is also spewing shit. When your vagina is spewing shit, ya oughtta see a real doctor.

GRAPHIC: CBP officers shoot another person in Minneapolis at point-blank range. Footage obtained exclusively by BT shows federal officers on Nicollet Ave. on top of a man on the ground, before one CBP officer pulls his gun and repeatedly fires. Witnesses say that after the shooting CBP then walked down the block filming bystanders. Nothing else is known at this point about what preceded this, the identity of the man shot, or his current condition. FBI agents and an ambulance are at the scene.

Exercising his first amendment right to opeacefully assemble and observe, and also exercising his second amendment right by legally conceal carrying.

W J en they grabbed him and threw him to the ground, about the third or fourth time he was pummeled, it loos like the gun fell out and dropped from his waste and to his feet- and that’s the agent above him pulled out his gun and shot him the first time-

It appears it was a second officer who fired the next ten or so rounds - (10, 11, i lost track)

Gov. Tim Walz said he had spoken to the White House about what he called another "sickening" shooting.
"The President must end this operation," he wrote. "Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now."

What we know: Video taken from a nearby business appears to show about a half-dozen agents tackling a person to the ground, before at least one shot rings out.

At least one agent then appears to fire multiple shots toward the man as he lies on the ground.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara confirmed during a news conference that the man later died. The Associated Press initially reported he was 51; O'Hara said authorities believe he was 37.

The police refused to be blocked by ICE from investigating this murder

ICE attempted to block local police officers from the scene of another Minneapolis shooting Saturday — but the city's police chief defied their orders.

ICE attempted to block local police officers from the scene of another Minneapolis shooting Saturday — but the city's police chief defied their orders.

The federal agents attempted to demand the city's police officers stay away after gunshots rang out Saturday morning, but Chief Brian O'Hara refused, the Minnesota Star Tribune reported.

A video, apparently shot by a witness, shows Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents wrestling a man to the ground. One officer appears to strike the person with what looks like a firearm before several shots are heard.

O'Hara confirmed a man had died, as crowds of furious onlookers gathered.

Sources told the Tribune O'Hara refused ICE's demands and instructed his officers to preserve the scene. All available local police officers have been called into work.

Minnesota officials have complained that they were frozen out of the investigation of the deadly shooting of Renee Good by ICE earlier this month.
