Trump launches 450-word rant about his ballroom and says a lawsuit to stop it being built would be 'devastating' for US

Source: The Independent

Sunday 25 January 2026 15:32 EST

As the US reeled from the latest shooting of an anti-ICE protester by federal agents, Donald Trump launched a 450-word rant in which he claimed that stopping the construction of his luxurious $400 million presidential ballroom would be “devastating to the White House, our Country, and all concerned.”

In a series of social media posts on Sunday, the president briefly addressed the situation in Minneapolis following the fatal shooting of ICU nurse Alex Pretti, writing: “Minnesota is a Criminal COVER UP of the massive Financial Fraud that has gone on!” He also praised allies for their appearances on Fox News to talk about the situation.

But by far his longest message, which he pinned to the top of his Truth Social feed, concerned the threat posed to the building of his White House ballroom by a lawsuit which seeks to stop it in its tracks. “I’m building, on top of everything else that I am doing, one of the greatest and most beautiful Ballrooms anywhere in the World, with more than 300 Million Dollars of Great American Patriots’ money, and working closely with, right from the beginning, the United States Military and Secret Service,” the president wrote.

“Making such a large gift to the U.S.A. was thought to be, by almost everyone, ‘A WONDERFUL THING TO DO’ — But no, as usual, I got sued, this time by the Radical Left National (No!)Trust for Historic Preservation, a group that couldn’t care less about our Country!”

just thinking of an appropriate honor. here are a few song ideas

put bitcoins on his eye balls and feed him to bobby's worm
wrap him in epstein's sheets and bury him in a pyramid scheme.

push him down the stairs like the mother of his children.

under the georgia guidestones
or the rubble of the arc d' trump.
there are piles of ashes everywhere he has done business.

real nice if the arc's falls on him during his endless booring dedication to himself.

bury him in a mass grave with the iranians he promised to support

or the afghan women
or the ukrainians
or kurds
or the gazans to whom he brought peace.

launch him on a space x. destination mars.

his life has been a ponzi scheme it should end in a pyramid
bury him in grant's tomb if that's what you want

take him on a midnight cruise like epstein sank the children
buried at sea with the fishermen killed for their oil.

push him on an ice flow towards greenland
with a hungry polar bear.
My apologies to the bear, there is nothing nourishing ina carcass full of bull shit.

Once his professional sycophants and propagandists get back to work tomorrow he'll be out with an executive order declaring that everyone in ICE detention needs to start working in the fields to earn their "keep", and thanks for our attention to this matter (or some other ridiculous shit that he's been wanting to see happen).

Like Pavlov's dogs, the magafolk will drool at the prospect, and the trained seals and stenographers of the M$M will be off the topic of Pretti, instantly switching to a day or two of headlines re: the deep question of "can Trump REALLY do that?!?", never to return until the next citizen is gunned down in the streets, by then Pretti and Good have become statistics.

He wasn’t saying that it would be devastating for the United States (U.S.). They misinterpreted him. He was actually saying that it “would be devastating for (us),” as in Cantaloupe Caligula the Corpulent himself. See, he always refers to himself in the third person, so here he was using the royal “we.” 😂

This is intended purely as humor. That said, knowing how Caligula thinks of himself, it begs the question.

Not what is visible on the surface, but what lurks underneath.

Every dictator needs his underground bunker, after all.
For when the natives riot, or the world ends.

I bet when it is complete, a big kitchen will be there, for his hamburders and drinks, and a medical room for his nightly infusion of life sustaining drugs.

In a 450-word rant, President Donald Trump raged Sunday on social media about the legal challenges against his White House ballroom project, which he claimed is now “too late” in its construction to be halted.

Trump’s $300 million ballroom project got underway last year with the demolition of the White House’s East Wing, images and video of which stunned critics nationwide. Starting behind schedule and reportedly designed in a “hurried process,” the project saw another speedbump after the National Trust for Historic Preservation sued Trump to stop the ballroom’s construction.

“Making such a large gift to the U.S.A. was thought to be, by almost everyone, ‘A WONDERFUL THING TO DO’ — But no, as usual, I got sued, this time by the Radical Left National (No!)Trust for Historic Preservation, a group that couldn’t care less about our Country!” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social.

All of the Structural Steel, Windows, Doors, A.C./Heating Equipment and much more, has been ordered (or is ready to be), and there is no practical or reasonable way to go back. IT IS TOO LATE! Why didn’t these obstructionists and troublemakers bring their baseless lawsuit much earlier?”

Trump also insisted that as president, he held complete authority to modify the White House in any manner he saw fit.

“The so-called ‘preservationists,’ who get their money from the most unusual of places, should not be allowed to stop this desperately needed addition to our GREAT White House, a place that a President has never needed permission to change or enhance, because of the special grounds on which it sits, no matter how big (and important!), that enhancement may be,” Trump continued.

Most Americans oppose the demolition of the White House's East Wing to make way for President Donald Trump's ballroom, according to an ABC News/Washington Post/Ipsos poll conducted using Ipsos’ KnowledgePanel.

A 56% majority of Americans oppose the Trump administration tearing down the East Wing of the White House as part of the construction of a 90,000-square-foot ballroom paid for by $300 million in private donations, including 45% who "strongly" oppose it, the poll finds.

Just 28% of Americans support it, with 15% strongly supporting the East Wing being torn down for a ballroom, the poll found. Another 16% say they are not sure.
